🔍 How I Discovered It

One of the first books I grabbed at Winter Wonderland giveaway because the blurb seemed hot. Nora Phoenix is someone new to me, so I don’t know what to expect. I just hoped that the story will turn out as promising as it sounds.

As it turns out, my feelings are complicated for this one. 

💭 Thoughts

It took me a while to get used to the writing. I’m not sure why, but maybe because it’s like a written stream of thoughts of the character? 

▫️Matthew & Jace

As a pair, I feel like the insta-attraction and how their kink fitted each other is pretty convenient. But as individual characters, I like the two of them. I like how honest they are to themselves and are in no way hid it from the other. I liked that straightforward way. The way they are insecure about themselves is endearing. It makes me want to get to know more about the characters. Too bad this is a short read.

▫️Pacing/Length

The story has a lot of promise and heat at first, but it loses its steam in the second half.

The story has some hurt/comfort in it which surprised me because I didn’t expect that. I feel like it has to be explored more.

There’s also the role-playing kink that needs to be longer. It’s like the scene just passes by. It’s over before I knew it. 

▫️ Typos and formatting error

There are a handful of typos and formatting errors in here. It didn’t really bother me that much, but it might be bothersome for others.

For those who like boss/employee, age gap, a bit of role playing kink.
